Robert Flaechsig from Verein Seglerhaus am Wannsee (VSaW) presented the topic of sustainability in sailing. Sustainability has grown in importance in sailing and beyond in recent years, as climate impacts are not only being more stringently regulated by world governments, but also enhance the positive perception of organizations who have developed strong sustainability strategies and who show a strong commitment to green initiatives. A strong sustainability program requires collaboration to tackle targeted initiatives.
