Greetings to everyone from all over the world,

Your forum group has been working diligently every week since December to put together a package of interesting topics for our forum discussions in September. We have selected strategic planning, communication in a digital world, capital planning, environmental sustainability, and attracting and retaining young members, to name a few. Several professional speakers have been invited to speak, which we are very excited about. We will be reaching out to various Member Clubs to supply speakers for the topics we have chosen.

On the partner front, my wife Dorothy and her team have put together an exciting program that we are sure will showcase the highlights of our beautiful city, Vancouver, and our province of British Columbia.

I understand that several of you have made inquiries about one of our recommended boat charter companies, Cooper Boating Centre. Much to our surprise, they have closed their Vancouver base with no announcement. Past Commodore Bob Andrew and I have reached out to Nanaimo Yacht Charters, whom we used when we hosted the Royal Yacht Squadron and the Royal Thames Yacht Club in 2022. Bob and I are revamping the start of the cruise to begin at our outstation on Tugboat Island located on Gabriola Island in the Gulf Islands. We will still have a welcome dinner at Jericho Clubhouse on the 22 of September and meet at Tugboat on the 23 for a weeklong cruise through our majestic Gulf Islands.

We will be opening registration by the second week of June.
