Americas Conference S7: New Sailing Paradigms at the Olympics

Paul Henderson, Canadian Olympian
Dan Cunningham, Sail Canada Kitefoiling Coach

Paul Henderson, a Canadian Olympian who competed in Tokyo 1964, Acapulco 1968, and coached in Munich 1972, detailed why it’s so important to have a club connection for athletes competing at the elite level of the Olympics. Dan Cunningham spoke about the future of the “boat-less” and foiling fleets at the Olympics, such as IQFoils and Formula Kite, which are both current Olympic classes. Cunningham sees these fleets and fleets like them having staying power in competitive sailing.
