With just two months until the start of the competition, entries in the 2023 ORC Double Handed Barcelona World Championship are gaining momentum. Over 60 boats from 10 countries have already registered, and it is expected that the number of participants will reach around 80.

The ORC Double Handed Barcelona World Championship, organized by the Real Club Náutico de Barcelona, will take place September 9-15. This thrilling event brings together sailors from around the world for a week filled with on the water challenges. To that end, the Race Committee has designed a variety of courses that will start and finish in the waters of Barcelona, covering distances ranging from approximately 70 to 200 nautical miles. Some of these courses will take competitors from the coast of Barcelona to the Balearic Islands and back, while others will explore the picturesque coast of Catalonia.

The Championship is open to all boats with a valid ORC DH international certificate and an All-Purpose Single Number rating. The classes will be defined at the close of registration on August 10, 2023.
